Dry Cycle Testing Facility and SW Engineering

In 2008 a two storey building was completed to provide additional production capacity. This coincided with the start of extrusion press manufacture. The top floor is home to our SW and HW engineering. The ground floor was designed for extrusion press, log furnace, and ageing oven construction. Allowing the complete extrusion line installation to be dry tested, and all pre-shipment testing to be carried out on site.

Extrusion Press Production

Turla’s new 8,000m² building is near completion. When ready it will be used for the assembly of presses with an extrusion force of 50MN or more. With these presses it’s very common to manage single pieces weighing around 150 tonnes. New facilities were required, including machines (such as cranes) specially created for this purpose.

Extrusion Line Made in Italy

The engineering and manufacture of the entire production line, including all machinery, components, spare parts, SFW and dry cycle testing, is performed in house at Turla’s complex in Paderno Franciacorta (Brescia, Northern Italy). This is essential to provide total control during all stages of production and dry testing.
